If you have an animal for sale on an auction, and I buy the animal and write you a hot check, you then put the animal back on the sale ring and John Doe buys it, but does not pay. What is the differance in our actions, other than the fact you have legal recourse on me. both of us are sorry, no good individuals!!!!

Howard I dont think theres any difference. Like you said the one that rights a hot check you do have legal ways to get the money.. but actually that will cost you more also.. insufficeint fund fees, attorney if you use one, fees. etc. Its the same I would think.. No pay is No pay on an auction regardless of if its a hot check or just dont pay. its a shame folks do that.

I think the difference is when you write a bad check,its a criminal offence,not paying on a bid is not a criminal offence
