I was in California a couple of days ago when Gilbert and Alex arrived at the sale barn in Chino, Ca were they are keeping the bulls for the event. Gilbert is there for the bull team deal, and it looks like it may pay off. He was even talking about how much money it cost him to get there. It is a gamble but he knows the quality of the bulls he has on his team.

Not only that but he took more bulls then just the team, for the out money to make it worth the trip.

I have a nephew who lives in Alaska. He is a great guy. Nothing wrong with him either, actually recieved a purple heart a few days ago.

Gene's bulls laid over at our place in Visalia California since Sacramento, so he wouldnt have to spend more in fuel. I know for a fact Gene was not paid any mileage money.

Thanks for the nice comments from those of you who had them. I can promise there was no money paid under the table. We made $7,400 in out money alone, not to include the $20,000 for the team, TV exposure, and now increased semen sales.

It aggrevates me that people can make comments that slander individuals and their company without having ANY credible evidence. But a wise man once told me, in the absence of intelligence ignorance prevails! :dink:

Making the trip to Portland, Tacoma, and LA too....using that money we just won for fuel! :D

The point is they took the risk, drove the miles and did a great job. Had they taken the risk, driven the miles and fallen flat, I doubt that anyone would be on here saying they were paid under the table. That scenario could just have easily happened.
From what I saw, they were prepared and deserve the recognition, for their efforts.

Now just a couple of weeks ago , after Fresno and Sacramento, we were on here complaining speculating etc about the bulls at these events, wondering why some contractors didnt haul their bulls out there, alot on here went on and on and complained about it..

NOW , this past weekend we had contractors take bulls to the west coast, they performed great.. and now its complaining and speculating that they went for money under the table...

Just seems you cant make some people happy no matter what happens.

Look for the positives in things , not the negatives and life will be much more pleasant..

I will admit there are times I get negative on here.. but I do try not to let that happen. Life is to short to be negative
