VBBI NOW ACCEPTING ENTRIES!!!!

The VBBI is pleased to begin accepting entries for the March 15, 2008 Two-Year Old Video Futurity. Please visit www.videofuturity.com for entry forms. The application deadline is February 28, 2008.

To be eligible to compete, each participant must provide the following to the VBBI by 5:00 p.m. (Central Standard Time) on February 28, 2008: (1) a completed and signed entry form; (2) a cashier’s check or money order in the proper amount of the entry fee, which is $500; (3) photographs identifying the animal to compete in the futurity, including a photograph of the animal’s head and a side profile identifying, to the extent possible, the animal’s permanent brand numbers; and (4) documents verifying the age of the animal competing.

The VBBI is currently in the process of hiring judges. Once the judges are hired, the VBBI will identify them on its website and will do so prior to the application deadline. If you have any suggestions for judges, please email us at videofuturity@yahoo.com.

Additionally, we have received numerous calls regarding whether we will be having a yearling futurity. The VBBI will be having a yearling futurity on APRIL 18TH.

Sean, Just a question to make sure I'm reading the rules correctly. Only bulls that are 18 months and older can be entered, because all bulls must be mouthed NO sooner then 18 months. So if I have a bull that was born in April, I couldn't have his age verification done till October. Also to have their age verification by mouthing, does it have to be an approved vet like ABBI?

Only 2006 model bulls are eligible to compete in the March 15, 2008 futurity. Bulls mouthed before they are 18 months old must be re-mouthed once they turn 18 months old. We will modify our Rules and Regulations to so provide.

With regard to a vet, an animal can be mouthed by a licensed veterinarian and the vet must complete the age verification form provided on our website. A bull that has been EID tagged by the ABBI is also eligible.

The MTK dummy is an approved dummy.

Yearlings will have to be age certified as well.
