about two months ago my big good looking son of Cadillac died suddenly , he was 7 years old and a bucking dude ! i thought more of him than any other animal on the ranch , at that time i was ready to sell out but i didnt , just give it a little time and eventually your day will come .. keep your head up and i assure you it will get better ... sorry to hear of your loss

I hate to hear that Chance. How old was the calf? Could have been black leg if his legs were stiff and crackly feeling. Don't give up now, you live, learn and go on. Unfortunately loss is a part of life. I deal with it almost every day at work. Keep your head up and keep tryin. The highs of seeing those suckers buck always outweigh the lows.

Make sure you hit it your calves with it(black leg vacc) next year because it re occurs in those same pastures year after year.

Sorry about your lose Chance it sounds like blackleg, we had a freind lose a coming three year old and the vet told him to start giving them a shot every six months if you are moving them from place to place.
Good luck with the others, some day we will meet at one the bull ridings going on in the area.

Chance,

we are all sorry to heart of your loss. Give it a bit to settle but don't loose heart. I know how hard it is, but it is part of the deal.

Chin up and go forward.

Eileen

Thanks everyone, this being the first one we have lost and the fact of how special he was to us made it rather difficult with some of the other things goin on at the moment. Seemed as if it was time to give it up, but on second thiought we its just gonna make us pres forward with our dream even harder! we are gonna just see what happens!

Charlie lookin forward to meetin you. Did you go to the benefit that was on Saturday?
