Double bred Spook, that's what I thought.:yeahthat: Heck, I tried to sell a Spook granddaughter on another auction site and struggled to get to $750.00. I think I need to give Nate a call.

Was there a catalog available online anywhere? I'd like to see what was for sale compared to Travis' prices per lot!

Decent sale if you were buying, sorry sale if you were selling.
In my opinion, the calves that sold livened the people up but there weren't much interest in the older bulls. We regret not bidding on the breeding bull from Bergers that was by Mossy Oak out of a YJ daughter. He was a steal at $2700. There were some lots that just didn't perform for what the sellers were wanting out of them. They may have been having off days, but considering the market and the bloodlines that are out there, the prices for the most part were right on. JMO but I think the flood gates are open! ~Kristi

A lot of the bulls brought to this sale were rodeo bulls and with the NFR not having a bull sale this year, I guess they thought buyers for their bulls would have been there.

We bought the Mossy Oak Mudslinger son over Yellow Jackets Dam. He was lot 60. We NEVER thought we would get him for $2750.00!!! He will be living the good life in Tatum, Texas.
He is 3 and supposedly broke his leg when they bucked him. We are gonna get him here and have a vet check him out, just to see what type of injury and the extent of the injury.
Thanks to everyone who didn't bid! ;)
Have a great day!!

Carol,
Don't know the extent of the break either, but I was at the sale, and I saw him run full speed across the pen with no limp, and another bull breeder(well known) said to me he sure dosen't look crippled to me.......anyway nice purchase

The sale was really uneven....18-19 pt bulls were bringing $3000+......The first four lots were all no sales........these were all nice bulls we had sold in the past and along with a few others they really got hosed....or the guys selling them got hosed;(
The two calves Mitch sold that were unbucked were real nice calves and the one was a Reindeer son.....the other bred very well also. ...RocknRoll son out of a Bad Blue daughter. Mitch brought two really nice calves to town, they looked good and were bred good, and brought good money.
I really think half the time some people were asleep and the other half were really drunk:yikes: The two futurity bulls that both placed in the top ten at Vegas that were in the sale....couldnt get a $6000 bid for 1/2 of them. Then they sell a jump kicking yearling for $4200 and one that didnt buck for $6000....... who knows.
Good job to Randy and Amber and everyone putting it on though, they do a good job.
God bless, Jen

We have the bull home, and he looks great. He gets around without any hesitations or limping. We'll see how it goes once we get the vet to check him out. As of now, he gets around better than me!!
I am updating our website, I know... about time, and I have posted his picture on our SIRE page if you'd like to see him.
I think he is going to be a great addition to our breeding program!:)
Yall take care,
Carol Brian

Did Thrillville sell? If so how much?
On the sheets, Thrillville was a RR bull, so I don't know that he was in the sale.
Same thing for Say my Name and 001 White Lightning.
