The calf was born in Feb. and about a week old when she almost froze to death. We had her in the house for 4 days getting the body temp. back up. Ended up putting her and the mother in the barn and still have them penned. The calf is growing and looks pretty much normal (lost some ear). Problem is her feet / hoofs. She has a hard time walking and moving around. Can't get very close but it looks like the old hoofs are dead and the new growth is replacing it. Is this common from the feet being froze? Or will she end up crippled? Any comments from those with experiance in this would be appreciated.

Only time will tell but it is a good sign that they are growing new hooves the biggest problem you may face is that she may be more prone to freezing in the future so you will have to keep a closer eye on her in the winter.

Not sure about growing new hooves. We lost a heifer in february that was 9 months old our vet told us she would sluff her hooves then she would be walking on her nerves and we would have to put her down .Not sure how bad yours is but ours was ready to step out of one hoof. Only had this once hope never again . Good luck
