**Books are now open for the NBBA's W-W Team Futurity which will take place on April 25, 2009 with the 3rd Annual Breeder's Invitational W-W Futurity; Youth Futurity and 3 Yr Old "Bring Your own Rider" Derby.
Trying to address a few questions on the event, sorry it has taken a few days since the books have opened!!
The April 25th NBBA W-W Futurity will be held as a "Team Futurity". Why is this taking place???
**Bar F Productions, Inc. (Marty & Michele Foutch / Glenn Carlton) have been producing events for the past 8 years, through the RSR, NBBA and ABBI years. As producers, we are trying to accomodate the economy for both the contractors as well as ourselves, the producer.
As producers, we wanted to try and take things back to the Tallman, RSR beginning, when it was new and exciting and still fun, contractors would enter a number of bulls for a set entry fee....... taking these basic guidelines but still strictly enforcing the NBBA's Standing Rules we have come up with the following:
**The W-W Futurity will be held as a "Team Futurity"- this is defined as 3 bulls entered per team, with a $1500 entry fee ($500 per bull). Your "team" will be placed on the average of your 3 bulls combined score.
**Points for the NBBA season will be based on your bulls individual placing.
**All bulls must pen together (large pipe pens!).
**Contractors may mix bulls with other contractors, as long as all 3 bulls will pen together!
**A total of six (6) buckles will be awarded (three per team for 1st and 2nd placing) for the event.
**SIDE PURSE -
At the request of a fellow NBBA member, a contractor may enter any bull in a separate purse for $500 per bull. With this "side purse" bulls will be competing on an individual basis, giving contractors more than one opportunity to place with their bulls.
**A Hy O Silver Buckle will be awarded to the Champion of the "side purse".
**Bulls must be entered in the "Team Futurity" to become eligible for the "side purse".
Again, trying to change things up just a bit and keep the industry "fun" but still following the main guidelines set forth by the NBBA!
This event will be limited to 40 teams, the books are filling fast, please contact us with any questions!!
-In addition to the Team Futurity there will be a Youth Futurity and a 40 head NBBA 3 Yr old "Bring Your Own Rider" Derby.
