I have gone through 2 dummies already. I first started with the ez buck when they first came out. it worked great on the first 10 head and then started hanging up on them. Years later, I bought one of those Bull-it dummies and only put it on about 20-30 head and then it started hanging up as well. I have always taken care of them. Never used them in the mud, cleaned and charged them after each use. I hear stories of some dummies going through 1000 head without any snags. I dont want to purchase a used one from anyone because I dont want to get one that has had a good life and I get it when it starts to mess up. Any advice would be apreaciated. I need to get one within the next week so yall help me out with some advice. I hate borrowing my friends. Any time you borrow something twice, it is time to buy your own. It's that time! Thanks yall!!!!

Tut, We have a bull-it it lasted around 30 bucks when it started hanging up. I changed the latch put a brand new one in and it lasted 5 bulls on the six`th one it hung up on a great little bull and stayed there till we got him in the stripping chute. Guess you know where the dummy ended up! Up until that point i was very happy with it. J-W uses a little blue and that thing seems just keep working on and on. Butch

We have used the MTK dummy for the last 3 years and love it. If you keep the latch clean and don't cinch it up to tight they'll never hang up. The additional perk is that when you release them they don't hit the bulls in the head, after attending numerous futurities I've seen this happen alot. If you do have a problem Marty is quick to address it and fix the problem for you. I wouldn't use anything else personally.

you can go buy five of the other brands or if youll spent a little extra and buy the buckemall youll be much further ahead in the long run. there the best and thats a fact not an opinion. used many around here and ol green has been the only one to never fail and it dang sure takes a beating.

Call Stewart Gulliger- he makes the little twister, its real nice. It can weight 10lbs or add weights and weigh 30.

I want to thank everyone for the advice. I did not intend to start this thread to bash any dummies still in production or to promote any certian brand of dummy. The top 3 brands that are aparently winning me over are the robo, buckemall and the blue. I want to thank the ones that have pm'd me their thoughts, positive or negative and want to thank those that have negative thoughts about any paticular dummies for pm'ing me instead of starting a war on the board. This was very considerate. With that in thought, If you have any negative thoughts about any dummies still in production, please pm me. But I would still like to hear the sucess of the dummies that yall are using on the board. Just a few questions.... Let me see if I got it right. The Buck-em-all is made by wilfong, the robo is made by jones, and who makes the blue. If I am wrong in who builds the dummies, please let me know. I am not sure if they are the ones who make them or endorse them. I am just guessing at this one. I would just like to know where I would be able to purchase the dummies, where they are built, how much they are and what warrienties they have if yall know. The price is less important if they actually work like they are supposed to. Of course! One more thing, The mtk. Someone give me the info on this one also and what do you mean that it doesnt hit them in the head? I know what you are talking about, but I cant figure out how it doesnt hit them in the head. Everytime I use a dummy, it usually hits them in the head or almost swings around and breaks a leg. One of my problems is cintching it up too tight. maybe this might be one of my problems, but I dont think I am doing it extremely tight, I just dont want it to end up on the side of em when they are bucking. I hate it when that happens. Thanks.

Alvin Jones is the robo rider, great guy to talk to
Wilfong is Buckem All, same as above
MTK is marty Kilgor, great guy as well
Blue Dummy is endorsed by Randy Schmutz, i dont know much bout this dummy but its pretty much same as Buckem all

depends on the size of animals you will be bucking.

the Buck 'Em All and the Lil Blue dummy both work the best and are nearly the same.

I prefer my Buck 'Em All with the quick cinch, and ALL dummy's could hit a animal on the head, even the real live dummy's!!!

Little Blue dummy is by far the best i have used, we have used ours over 1,000 head. The only problem we ever had was the antenna breaking off, but i replaced it with a light wire. And havent had a problem since.
