Hey Steve can't you just get the order form off the ABBI website and send in to them to get some more. That is how I got mine, or can't you do that anymore?

Steve, you only need 25, just cut them in half and send in that way!!!

I called the ABBI today. They are still on back order. Travis is correct, I only need 25 if they are not already cut in half. I ordered some, but they had no idea when they would get them in.

So what happens if they don't get any before the end of the year? Are they going to allow the 2008 prices when they get some???? :beatdeadhorse:

Getting your animals registered online, if you are already members, and submitting bloodcards when it is convenient for you is the way to. The last few I registered I did that way. All your cows and bulls are listed on drop down windows or you input the animal's reg. number. You submit it electronically, print the receipt - staple the blood card to it and mail it in. You pay online and your animal is listed as "pending" until they process the card. Example: I registered one of our 08 calves and I was asked to resubmit because the sample was dirty. He is in a pasture where we don't have corrals. We will need to wait until we wean (anytime now...) and we will get a sample when we can. He is paid for, so I am not worried.

The ABBI had to know there was going to be a rush on the cards right now. I think we all have waited and now are seeing our window of time closing. For me, the new system works better than filliing out all the paperwork. The only downfall is having to input your payment with each animal, but it is still simpler for me. Only a suggestion.

I agree it is easy to do the registration on line and then do the blood cards at your convienence. I have one more heifer to do and she is subject to be a higher fee after December 31st. ABBI told me the registration did not have to be complete but aslong as I start the process online on or before December 31st I will not have to pay the higher registration fee. Even if the blood card had not yet been submitted

from their site:

On-line Registration
When you register your animals on-line the blood cards for those animals must be in the office within two weeks of registering the animal.

Well if you have to have it in 2 wks from the time you registered online and dont have blood cards, that might be a problem huh? do they waive the time frame if you cant get bloodcards from them?

I registered mine awhile ago (about 2 months) and I just sent the blood card in. They have been nice about it and never pressed me to get it in sooner, so I am sure there is alittle room there (espcially if you cant order them from ABBI)

Can I use the Whatman brand cards I got from another company, or will they fail the tests on them because they didn't get their three bucks out of me for the bloodcards? I have a bunch leftover from a Free Martin test I had to run and was going to use them. Thanks. Ty
