Arrowwood Futurity will be held at 2PM on July 21st at the Arrowwood Rodeo Grounds. There will be a CCA, CRA rodeo to follow,(7pm and 2pm Sunday) $1000 added in both bulls and broncs. We will buck all the bulls first, then open the arena up for the horses.Bull entries will be through Buckers Of Canada, horses through Duane Aschbacker (403)652 8167. Fees are $300 bulls, and $150 horses. There is aMontanna Silversmith buckle up in the broncs, and a Becker Buckle up in the bull futurity.
If needed bulls can overnight at my place, but you may have to tend to them as my wife is due that weekend. Water is right there for them, let me know ahead of time. Beer Gardens, (Russell) are open till 1am.
Hope to see you there, snows gone, and I'm sure everyone has bucked calves and ready to bring the good ones to town. If you need anything else, holler at me.

Trevor,
Last year there was no age limit, but maybe call Duane on that, he handles the broncs. The young horses that really bucked placed over the campaigners that bucked, Seemed the wilder the better providing it wasn't just a fit. The horses bucked last year though, it was good. Russ, come down a have a few, we'll put ya to work if your not goin' that weekend.

Entries for the bull futurity were sent out earlier in the week, please get them back ASAP, horses are **** near full, with an aditional futurity to be held in Elnora in conjunction with their bull futurity. There isn't much room in the broncs. Trevor, Duane is holding a couple of spots for you I think, or was, give him a holler if you would.
Thanks

As Lorne posted, the results were,
1. High Ranch & Rodeo Co. # 523 84.25
2.Tye Bucking Bulls( Ryley Tye) #R2 83.625
3.Girletz Rodeo Stock (Tanner) # 510 82.75
4.Rafter G Cattle Co. (Nate Gardner) #501 81.375
The event paid around $1800 to win and an $800 Becker Buckle, down to $450 for last hole.
I do not have the horse payouts.
I want to thank Lorne and Kelly High, Wyatt and Ray Girletz, Riley Tye, Trevor Walker, Tanner Girletz,Ken Mcginnis, Allen Girletz, and Brad Meade for entering their calves. We cannot have these if no one enters.
Also a huge thanks to Russel Friend, Jason Finkbeiner, Dallas Ward, Kyle Daines, Steve Dunham, and Happy for judging the bulls, Thanks to Brad and Ken for double shifting and judging horses ( THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO CONFLICT OF INTEREST IN THE JUDGING) Thanks to all the guys who entered horses as well, they, just like last year, bucked! All we needed was just a tad more heat and she would have been perfect LOL!
With some luck, the entries will pick up for next year, as Ken has a heck of a deal planned for Bassano, Brad has looked into a deal in Lethbridge, and I look forward to going north next year.
See a bunch of you in Elnora on the 10th.
Thanks
