Bulls N Broncs
Rocky Mountain Thinder Bulls N Broncs is a newly created association designed to showcase the bucking bulls & bucking horse breeders in Colorado and surrounding states. Further, it provides a forum whereby breeders can buck their animals across out local Rocky Mountain region. We are no longer required to travel to Texas, Oklahoma and etc. to showcase our local stock.
Rocky Mountain Thunder Bulls N Broncs is committed to professional, well run affordable events with excellent payouts. Our productions will be well organized and designed exclusively to showcase stock.
We are proud to announce two events on the books this year.
1) Held in conjunction with the Colorado Professional Rodeo Association Finals September 6 at 1:00 pm in Grand Junction, CO at the Mesa County fairgrounds.
2) Tentatively planned for October at The Ranch-Larimer County Fairgrounds, details to follow.
Rocky Mountain Thunder Bulls N Broncs will not require registered bulls at either of these two events. However, management reserves he right to mouth the bulls for age varification purposes. All cattle must have current health papers and be TB negative. Specific to Grand Junction, cattle will be check in at Mesa County fairgrounds on Saturday from 8-11 am. Pens will be assigned so let us know how many you are in need of at the time of entry.
To enter the open bucking bull futurity in Grand Junction contact Mike Hadley thru September 1, 2008. Due to time constraints of the facility, we will be limiting the entries to a maximum of 20 bulls per class: Yealings (born in 2007), 2 year olds and our third class of 3 year olds.
All 3 classes will have a $500 added purse money.
-Entry fees will be $350 for the 2 and 3 year old bulls ($300 to pot)
-Yearlings class entry fee will be $250 ($200 to pot).
To secure your entry, Rocky Mountain Thunder Bulls N Broncs must receive your initial non-refundable payment of $100 by August 22, 2008.
-Please Note: All bucking chutes at this facility are left hand delivery.-The official bucking dummy to be used will be the "Buck 'Em All Dummies". The dummy will be auctioned off after each event with a minimum starting bid to be announced day of auction.
-RMTBB will set the dummies for each bll. Bulls will buck for 6 seconds with four judges; the highest & lowest scores will be thrown out. Positions will be drawn on site.
-Awards will be given in all divisions.
To be eligible for year-end awards & to enter our finals, you must be a member of Rocky Mountain Thunder Bulls N Broncs. Membership dues are $100 and include a subscription to the Rodeo News, the official paper of the RMTBB.
