I don't have the full results yet from last nights bronc riding & contractors match, but what I do know I'll post until I can post the full results.

The first round started with 25 Saddle Bronc Riders.

The first round of horses was a contractors match, with each contractor bucking 5 horses. The 5 contractors were:

Morrison Bucking Horses - Interior, SD
Jim Meeks - Interior, SD
Bud Longbrake - Dupree, SD
Brian Gifford - Gillette/Lovell, WY
Wayne Larson - Chugwater, WY

CONGRATULATIONS to the Gifford's from Wyoming with their Contractors Match Win!!!
They had the highest 5 horse point total.

I believe the top horse in the first round was Boot Bags owned by Jim Meeks. (a Justin Boots stud)

The top 12 Bronc Riders from the first round advanced to the 2nd round.
All of the horses used in the 2nd were colts from Korkow Rodeo that have NEVER been bucked before. I don't have the full results yet, but I heard it was WILD!!!

The top 6 Bronc Riders from the second round advanced to the short-go, where all of the horses in the short-go were Korkows NFR pen.
As with the other rounds, I don't have the full results yet, but I heard the short-go was one 80pt ride after another, and was GREAT WATCHING!!!

FULL RESULTS POSTED BELOW

The next Match Bronc Riding & Contractors Match will be the Badlands Invitational on July 24th in Kadoka, SD.

We had a great time!

Your Dad, Mom and the people at Philip did a great job of putting together a top notch event!

It was definitely one of the best bronc ridings I've been to! Lots a great action.

Good people, broncs and tough bronc riders!

I think we sqeeked by!! Looking forward to the next one!

Sure appreciate the invitation!

Wish we coulda stuck around afterwards- heard it gets a little wild downtown!

Wish I could have been there!

I'm still waiting for the full results. They finally have a break from rain, and my dad has been out cutting hay all day.

Hope you can make it to Kadoka's event. Sounds like we'll be tweaking the contractors match a bit in the 2nd round for an opportunity to win more money.

We're already thinking about which horses to switch out on our team at Kadoka, so we don't get beat by another Wyoming bronc man! :boxing:

It looked like a good time was had by all last night. Huge loud crowd, and they got thier $ 10 worth.

15 of the 25 first round horses got a 20 from at least one judge usually all four, they gave rerides on 17 pointers (5).
We only put 5 guys on the ground in all three rounds.

Matt Hebert won the 1st round with a 83 on Kitten Got Claws of Giffords
Chad Ferley was 2nd with a 82 on Preachers Wife of ours
JJ Elshere was 3rd with a 80.5 on Witches Ladder of Longbrakes
Jeff Willert was 4th with a 79 on Clear the Deck of Giffords
Tyler Corrington was 5th with a 78 on Cruella Deville of Longbrakes
and there was a 2 way split for 6th with a 77
Ty Kennedy on Tuff Stuff of ours / OJ Heidler on Hammer Down of ours.
The old mare Tuff Stuff was a 18 19 19 20, she been a good one.

Giffords won the stock contractors match with a 393.5
Longbrakes were 2nd with a 393
We were third with a 385.

The third round was outstanding with all the horses scoring 20 21 and 22.

Jeff Willert was 89.5
Chad Ferley was 89
JJ Elshere was 86
Ryan Elshere was 86
Tyler Corrington was 83
