Plummer. I wont agrue if it is the best or not. But it is by far the most marketable. Its not really close in my opinion.

If I myself was spending 10k on a cow I would want the cow to be a proven producer, then from a certain bloodline. You can have the best bloodline doesn't mean they will produce for you.

If you want a proven producer from a proven bloodline, you probably wouldnt get her for 10K............

Very true 10k will not buy a proven producer. I would take that 10k and buy a heifer or two. Take my chances with them.:speed_eek:

I totally agree Jason.

But for bloodlines i'd look for a proven producer or two in the pedigree and make sure there's either a world champion or a finals champ in there.

For example when i bought my Lady Sports Jacket cow she was a well bred heifer. Sired by 301. And out of a 77 Yellow Jacket dtr who was out of a Tyrell dtr. She was also a great producer. So i had a great producing cow, a world champ, and 301 a great producing bull who was also a contender for a championship. I didn't pay much for her as a yearling, but $10,000 wouldn't touch her right now. She had her first futurity winner 2 week's ago.

If i were looking i'd try to buy a flush heifer from a cow like i just described. For example i've raised calves sired by Playboy and Diamonds Ghost out of her.

Option #2 buy a older cow with not much bloodline that hasn't been flushed that has 1 or 2 son's that have bucked. One making it to the PBR.

A hint, the flush calf has a good chance of making a flush cow, since alot of times it seem's to be heretitary. And if your sticking higher end semen in for a flush the donor is probably a good flushing cow. So you get bloodlines and something that might flush.

Good luck.

Proven doesn't necessarily mean produced futurity champions or world champions. You may have a young cow that has produced some bulls that buck but aren't of age to go to futurities. Or you may have a cow that has produced some futurity prospects or good consistent bulls that are being hauled but just aren't in the lime light all the time. Just my opinion.

We will be selling some flush cows from the Ace of Spades Program in our fall production sale. They will be cows that we have succesfully flushed and kept daughters out of to continue in our program.

TC 5 -59 Bell " Dam to PBR star Bells Blue "

TW 303 " Dam to PBR short-round bull Pandamonium "

W6 " Dam to Smiley aka Chessburger W/ Attitude "

These cows have all flushed succesfully, and we are going to give some new breeders an opportunity to ad these genectics to there program.

God Bless

Idk I really like those White Water and Raspberry Wine Cows. But I have heard alot about those bo daughters. idk how they would work. I would deffinitly want something more on her botton side though. so id just say a PROVEN!!! producer with hopefully some good genetics thrown in.
